Theory Talk Tuesday: Walter White or Heisenberg? A Review of Breaking Bad's Ozymandias

SPOILERS

If you don’t watch Breaking Bad, you are probably sick of the fans screaming about it. But if you had seen the latest episode, you would understand our pain, suffering, and our joy in watching this show. And you’ll understand why I needed a couple days to write about it.

When Walt tells Jesse the truth about Jane, my boyfriend shouted “No!” and punched a wall. This was within the first ten minutes of the show. We had to take break so he could take a shot, and we really don’t drink often. My moment of shouting out?  Holly. When Walt picked up Holly I was almost in tears, I was shouting “No!”  Walt kidnapped his own daughter right in front of the eyes of his already heartbroken and devastated wife.
And you thought you hated Walt before...

Walt’s call to Skyler almost made me sick with anger. After everything he has done to that woman, taking her daughter away may have been the worst. Holly is a helpless child, unaware of what is happening to her family. But then the Daily Breaking Bad Tumblr posted this:

So my question is: Was the man making that phone call Walter White or Heisenberg? My theory/answer to that question is that it is Walter White. He knows that Skyler has only stayed with him out of obligation and fear, and he is finally allowing her to leave him. He had to have known that she wasn’t alone, so all the terrible things he said were recorded, heard by many. Walt had to realize that Skyler would say anything to make sure that Holly was safe, even if that means forgiving Walt for killing Hank (she doesn’t know the real story yet). This was Walter White, allowing his wife to move on and hate him forever.

Now for theories: We have two episodes left, what else could happen? With this show, so much can and will happen.

I think Todd is going to bring Lydia to his meth dungeon and say, “Look, this is why I have improved. I have a captive making my meth for me. Now kiss me.” Lydia will be horrified and run away from him and the Nazis. Or she’ll slap Todd, and he’ll kill her…

The ricin will be for the main Nazi asshole/Mac’s dad from It’s Always Sunny. He smokes a lot. Please let Walt kill him.

I’m not sure how I think things will end for Walt. I want him to die because I think he is a horrible person, but I want him to have succeeded in his original intent: To leave money behind for his wife and children. Is that still possible though?

This episode deserves all the awards, Emmy’s, and 5 out of 5. Leave thoughts and theories in the comments!

Theory Talk Tuesday: Pretty Little Liars Season 4 TONIGHT!

Alright, so even though Pretty Little Liars is marketed to girls way younger than me, I still love this show. Guilty pleasure or not, I'm completely entertained and want to know who Red Coat is. And I want to know who the murderer is. That's not say I don't have my own theories. I guess my blog is week is all about theories!

Before I watched the clips above. I was convinced that Jason was the body in the trunk of Wilden's car. But in one of the clips Ali's mother mentions Jason and no one seems to think he's dead. The girls would know. They saw the body, and in the promo videos they seem to go to a funeral. So the question is, who died? Wilden? Then why would they go to the funeral? I say Wilden. If not Jason, then Wilden. For a moment I thought it might be Lucas, but Hannah would cry, right?

I don't have many theories on who Red Coat is. Either Ali's evil twin, as is hinted at in the first Halloween episode. OR Ali herself.

My biggest theory came from re-watching the whole series the past two months. I am convinced that the murderer is someone in the Hastings family. Whether it be Spencer's dad, mom, sister, or Spencer herself someone in that family killed (or tried to kill) Alison. Spencer's dad is clearly a creep, something is off about him. Her sister is also a ticking time bomb of crazy, and maybe she lost it on Alison that summer. The mother is the lowest on my list, but all the more reason for me to think it's her! It's never who you expect on shows like this (I'm reminded of season 1 of Veronica Mars)! Spencer is high on list because of the fact that she was awake before the other girls the night of Ali's murder. Also, even more reason besides love for her to lose her mind over Toby being A, maybe the idea of him knowing what she is capable of (and capable of accusing him of) was too much for her.

I hope we find out something and not just more questions tonight!

Mad Monday: Sally Draper Saw More Of Her Daddy Than She Ever Wanted

As if I needed more reason to find Sally to be the best character on the show.
SPOILER ALERT.

Mad Men this week, did not disappoint. Generally as a season comes to an end of any show, the episodes close to the end mostly set up the finale but aren't episodes you want to pause so you can have freak out moment of what occurred. I love that even though this was the third to last episode, I was still fighting the urge the cover my eyes and yell at the screen.

Here is a list of my new thoughts and opinions based on last night's episode.

1. BOB BENSON. I've gone through multiple theories on Bob. Mostly I think he is going to shoot up the office or at least kill one person. But now I have a more intense theory. He is trying to sleep with anyone, whether it be Joan or Pete simply to move up in the company. If it's Joan, he'll sleep with her and then expect everyone to think she's a slut and fire her but everyone will be like "Boo you whore" and fire him. Then he'll either kill Joan or everyone. If it's Pete, he'll sleep with him and then say that Pete hit on him, and try to take his job. Clearly I'm still working on the Pete theory. I can't wrap my mind around that one, I had no reason to see that coming. I loved it.

2. The end of Megan and Don. I've had theories about their end for a while. I was not with a lot of people who thought Megan was already dead. I think she might die. But she wasn't already dead. Now, I'm not sure if she will kill herself because Sally tells her what she saw, or she'll end up shoving Don out the window in the series finale because the truth takes that long to come out.

3. Someone is getting pushed out that window. But who? My boyfriend and I both think the show will end with someone reenacting the title sequence. We generally assumed Pete and Don would get in a fight and one or maybe both men would fall out the glass. But now, I can imagine it being Bob and Pete in a fight. Megan and Don. Someone. It'll happen.

4. Pete Campbell and Peggy Olson. I'm scared of that happening again so my brain doesn't really have a theory. But I loved the callback his mom pulled on Peggy and their drunk dinner.

Well, to anyone who reads this blog, what are your theories?
